太湖三万八千顷的波光，淌过千年，在无锡凝成一阙湿润的词。运河如脉，将市井的烟火与文人的风雅一并揽入绵长岁月。这是一座被水赋形的城，风物皆带润意：蠡湖的烟柳是朦胧的诗眼，南长街的灯火是流淌的星河。时光在此也慢下步履，化作寄畅园苔痕上的一滴清露，或是清名桥下，那一声悠悠的桨歌。

The shimmering expanse of Lake Tai — 38,000 hectares of glistening waves — has flowed  through a thousand years, condensing in Wuxi into verses of mist and tenderness. The Grand  Canal runs like a vein, threading together the hum of daily life and the grace of scholars,  carrying them through the long river of time.

千年的市声与文脉，在此地交融、沉淀，最终凝练为一种独特的生活底色，于喧嚣中取静，在繁华处守拙。这方水土所滋养的从容与风雅，正为一场关于空间的深刻叙事，悄然埋下了伏笔。

This is a city shaped by water; every scene here carries a sense of softness and moisture.  The willows by Lihu Lake are the eyes of a hazy poem, while the lights along Nanchang  Street glimmer like a river of stars. Even time seems to slow its pace — turning into a  dewdrop resting on the moss of Jichang Garden, or a drifting song echoing beneath  Qingming Bridge.

我们此次相遇的这方居所，便生长在这片水韵与人文交织的土壤里。当现代主义的简明线条，遇见新中式的温润风骨，空间便有了呼吸的节奏。而木作，恰是这节奏的心跳，它用肌理记录时光，以温度承载情感，在直线与曲线的辩证中，找到当代雅士的精神栖居。

The residence we visit today grows from this soil of water and culture. When the clarity of  modernism meets the gentle strength of neo-Chinese aesthetics, space begins to breathe  with rhythm. And wood — the heartbeat of that rhythm — records time through its textures,  carries emotion through its warmth, and finds the dwelling place of a contemporary aesthete  in the dialogue between straight lines and curves.

于是，设计成了译者，将无锡的山水灵气、中式美学的神韵，转译为可触摸的日常。且随我们走进这处宅邸，看木头如何在此间生根，成就一场跨越时空的对话。

Here, design becomes a  translator — interpreting the poetic spirit of Wuxi’s landscapes and the essence of Chinese  aesthetics into a tangible, livable form. Let us step into this home and see how wood takes  root, weaving a dialogue that transcends time.

客厅采用挑高设计，空间开阔方正，尽显大气磅礴。整面落地窗宛若巨幕，将天光毫无保留地引入，更将庭院里的葱茏绿意与四季流转，绵延成室内的主景。目光所及，温润木作与倾泻的阳光彼此唱和，共同晕染出一室明亮通透、温暖自然的氛围。于此，闲坐观景，心随光景俱宁。

A doubleheight ceiling gives the living room its open grandeur. The floor-to-ceiling windows act as a  vast screen, drawing in sunlight without restraint, while the courtyard's lush greenery extends  into the interior as the primary visual narrative. Everywhere, the interplay between soft  wooden tones and cascading light creates a bright, natural warmth. Sitting here, one can feel  serenity flow with the light.

电视背景墙处，可见设计之用心悉数藏于细节。顶部的木质镂空雕花，经匠人巧手雕琢，每一处线条的流转与衔接，皆倾注心血，将传统工艺的细腻底蕴，与现代设计的简约审美融合。这不仅为空间增添了灵动，亦于无声处，诠释着高端定制的非凡魅力。

The TV wall reveals design  sophistication in the details. The handcrafted wooden lattice above, carved with meticulous  precision, blends the delicacy of traditional craftsmanship with the minimalist aesthetics of  modern design. This detail not only adds vitality to the space but also quietly expresses the  allure of bespoke refinement.

另一侧，设计师以黑胡桃格栅巧妙包裹二层空间。格栅的竖向线条构筑出朦胧的界质，其后若隐若现的中式画面，恰似一幅被珍藏的卷轴。虚实相生间，既丰富了空间层次，又以当代笔法诠释了东方美学的留白意境，令整面墙简而不空，韵味悠长。

On the opposite side, walnut grilles subtly  enclose the upper level. The vertical rhythm of the slats creates a sense of mystery — behind  them, a faint Chinese landscape emerges like a treasured scroll. Between the seen and  unseen, the design layers the space with depth, expressing the poetic restraint of Oriental  aesthetics through a contemporary lens.

于本案中多处出现的黑胡桃，其魅力远不止于美观。木材质地密实，色泽内敛温润，随着时光流转，颜色会愈发深邃沉稳。其天然纹理如山水泼墨，极具画面感，与新中式所追求的“师法自然”高度契合。既能为现代空间注入东方的风骨与温度，又能凭借其出色的耐用性，成为传承岁月之美的最佳载体。

Black walnut appears throughout the residence, its charm extending beyond beauty.  Its dense texture and understated hue deepen over time, while its natural grain evokes  landscapes painted in ink — a perfect echo of the “learning from nature” philosophy at the  heart of Chinese design. It brings warmth and elegance to modern spaces while serving as a  vessel for the beauty of time itself.

餐厅，是烟火人间的温柔注脚。这里的光影总是恰到好处，将寻常日子酿成诗。三餐烟火在此升腾，化作家人间无需言语的懂得。时间在这里放慢脚步，让每个共处的瞬间，都成为值得珍藏的永恒。

The dining room is the gentle punctuation of daily life — where light and shadow fall just  right, and ordinary moments ferment into poetry. Here, the warmth of daily meals becomes  an unspoken language of love and understanding. Time slows, and every shared moment  becomes eterna.

餐边柜以木为框，藤编作门，天然材质携着自然气息而来。低饱和的色调，沉淀出不经意的精致与安然。藤编的质朴安抚浮躁，木纹的脉络诉说岁月故事。当复古元素与现代空间相遇，便为这一隅注入了沉静而独特的生命力，岁月之美，于此静静流淌。

The sideboard, framed in wood and paneled with rattan, carries the breath of nature. Its soft,  muted tones speak of quiet refinement. The rattan soothes the restless mind, while the  wooden grains whisper stories of time. When vintage textures meet modern forms, this  corner comes alive with serene vitality — the beauty of years flowing quietly within.

卧室是家中最柔软的容器，盛放疲惫与安眠。当喧嚣褪去，此处只余呼吸与光影的合鸣。晨光微曦时，它温柔将你唤醒；夜幕低垂后，又以无边静谧将你包裹。每一个夜晚都沉入温柔的怀抱，每一个清晨都迎来宁静的苏醒。

The bedroom — the gentlest vessel of a home — holds rest and peace. When the noise  fades, only breath and light remain. Morning light wakes you softly; night embraces you in  silence. Every dusk melts into tenderness, every dawn opens in calm.

一楼卧室，新中式风韵盈满空间。沉稳的色调如墨韵铺展，床头花鸟画恰似点睛之笔，飞鸟灵动，花枝清雅，将东方美学的灵动与意蕴悉数收纳。于此安歇，身心皆被东方的温婉与宁和轻轻包裹，夜夜好眠。

On the first floor, the bedroom embodies neo-Chinese elegance. Deep hues unfold  like ink, while a painting of flowers and birds above the bed adds the perfect note — lively  yet refined, gathering all the grace and spirit of the East into one tranquil corner.  Here, both body and soul find rest within the serenity of oriental warmth.

窗边护墙板以几何线条勾勒出精妙的韵律，简单的造型通过重复与组合，形成独特的视觉节奏。这看似克制的设计背后，是对细节的执着雕琢，于细微处展现空间的质感与匠心。

The wall panels by the window trace a geometric rhythm — simple forms repeating and  combining into a visual melody. Behind this restraint lies a devotion to craftsmanship, where  subtlety reveals texture and care.

整面衣柜由黑胡桃打造，意式零度哑涂装工艺将木质的温润与深邃全然释放。触感如丝，观感如玉，它以极简的形态成为空间的静谧背景。这份不着痕迹的高级感，正是在低调中展露的不凡品味，于日常里承载岁月的温度。

A wall of black walnut wardrobes, finished in a matte Italian coating, releases the full depth  and softness of the wood. Smooth as silk, luminous as jade, it stands as a quiet backdrop —  understated yet elegant, carrying the warmth of time in daily life.

木的深处，藏着时间的语言。它记得生长的年轮，也懂得栖居的温度。在空间里静静呼吸，用纹理低语，以触感传情。无需繁饰，自有风骨；不着痕迹，已成诗意。

In the heart of the woods lies the language of time. It remembers growth rings, understands  warmth, and breathes softly within space. Through grain it whispers, through touch it  connects — unadorned yet dignified, modest yet poetic.
